Sunday Fun

A scene from Sunday morning.

Letter From Jaciel

We just received a letter from Jaciel, our Compassion child. He writes:

Hello! Before you read this letter I greet you in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. I hope you are well. I thank God for allowing me to be in this program, and I thank you for the support you have given to me too. I want to tell you that I am doing well, and I am studying primary school. I am working hard in school because I want to be a doctor when I grow up, and I know that I will succeed, God willing. That's all I can say. My parents send greetings to you, and pray for you, for God to watch over you wherever you are. I want to ask you to take care and keep on. I'm going to pray to God, for him to bless you and help you with your purpose. I ask you to pray for me and my family and my little siblings.

Jaciel
Age: 10, Grade: 4

Would you like to write Jaciel a personal letter? He would love it! If you would like to bless him in such a way simply email Pastor Brian with the letter and he will forward it on.

2. SOMETHING FOR YOUR HEART

HOW TO OBSERVE THANKSGIVING

Count your blessings instead of your crosses; Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears; Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean; Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth; Count on God instead of yourself.

Happy Thanksgiving!

THE LIFE OF CHRIST, THE BASIS OF FAITH

Chances are, you know who Jesus is. But do you really know about Jesus? He is probably the best-known person in history, and yet there's a lot that people don't know about who he was, what he did, or why he did it. In this 48-week devotional, you'll spend time reading Old Testament predictions of Jesus, stories about Jesus, what he taught, and the miracles that he performed.

Learn more about or purchase the book "Christ" here.
